Le Programme Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) est un programme estival académique de deux semaines parmi les plus diversifiés au monde. Accueillant plus de 2 000 étudiants de plus de 150 pays et des 50 états des États-Unis, YYGS offre plus de 3 millions de dollars américains en aide financière basée sur les besoins, tant aux étudiants nationaux qu’internationaux. L’expérience de vivre et d’apprendre aux côtés de pairs du monde entier permet aux étudiants d’élargir leurs horizons et leurs perspectives. Ils ont la chance d’apprendre sur des pays et des cultures qu’ils n’auraient peut-être jamais rencontrés autrement.
YYGS emphasizes an open, exploratory, and collaborative approach to learning. Participants have the opportunity to experience a variety of academic settings, from large conferences to small seminars, as well as the spontaneous learning that occurs outside of the classroom, in conversations with one another. The program exposes participants to innovative topics while facilitating student-to-student discussions shaped by international perspectives. Students have the opportunity to choose from STEM, social sciences, humanities, or interdisciplinary majors.

Each session of the program addresses specific areas:
- Politics, Law and Economics: Study of various economic theories, government values and practices, and legal frameworks in historical and comparative perspectives.
- Literature, Philosophy and Culture: Analyzing culturally significant works, challenging ideas, and exploring creative ways to use the arts to better understand and influence communities.
- Solutions to Global Challenges: Discover innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to solving the greatest challenges facing the global community in the 21st century.
- Innovations in Science and Technology: Exploration of diverse topics in biological, physical and applied sciences by applying scientific principles to real-world problems.
YYGS offers need-based financial aid for all students, whether domestic or international, covering up to the full cost of program tuition. Students are also encouraged to coordinate funding for their transportation needs.
