Imaginez-vous vivant et \u00e9tudiant aux \u00c9tats-Unis pendant une ann\u00e9e compl\u00e8te gr\u00e2ce au Programme YES. Initi\u00e9 par le Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES), ce programme offre des bourses aux lyc\u00e9ens Marocains pour \u00e9tudier pendant une ann\u00e9e acad\u00e9mique aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Vous vivrez au sein d’une famille d’accueil, fr\u00e9quenterez un lyc\u00e9e am\u00e9ricain, d\u00e9velopperez des comp\u00e9tences en leadership et participerez \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s pour d\u00e9couvrir la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et les valeurs am\u00e9ricaines. Supported by the U.S. Department of State, the YES program was launched by the U.S. Congress in 2003 to build understanding between countries with significant Muslim populations and the United States. YES students become true \u201cyouth ambassadors\u201d for their home countries, building a lasting cultural bridge by establishing lasting relationships with their host families and communities.
After their year in the United States, YES alumni can also join the active YES alumni network in Morocco.<\/p>\n

To be eligible, you must:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Be between 15 and 17 years old (born between August 15, 2006 and August 15, 2007) at the start of the program (August 15, 2023);<\/p>\n

\u2022 Be enrolled in a secondary establishment at the time of application;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Enter the 1st or 2nd year of high school in fall 2022;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Have the equivalent of a B average or better with no failing grades and have a high academic achievement record;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to promoting intercultural understanding;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Achieve a minimum level of proficiency in English;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Not be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and not have been born in the United States;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Be a citizen of Morocco;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Meet the eligibility requirements for the US J-1 visa (for example, US citizens are not eligible for the J-1 visa).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

This program encourages and supports the participation of students with disabilities. The Department of State and the YES Program work in collaboration with Mobility International (MIUSA) to provide students with disabilities with leadership-building workshops, relevant information, and personalized support to enhance their year in the United States.
