🕹️ How to Create an Activity?

The Afterschool Activity Builder is a great feature that allows organizers to create their activities directly from their Dashboard (available at: parascolaire.ma/dashboard) by clicking on the “Create New Activity” button at the top right.

Activity Info

Let's start with the "Activity Information" section. There you will find the following fields to fill in:
•             Activity Title : When creating your business, it is important to choose an appropriate title. The title should accurately reflect the content of the business, so be concise and catchy. To increase visibility, it is also a good idea to include relevant keywords in the title.
Activity Link : From this section, you can edit the link to the activity. This will appear in the URL after the last slash. To increase the visibility of your activity in search engine results pages, it is important to make sure that the activity link is relevant, contains relevant keywords, and that each word is separated by hyphens.
About the activity : Use this field to give potential participants a general idea of what they can expect from this activity, such as its content, learning objectives, a brief overview of the programs, etc.

Activity Settings

You can update the basic activity settings from this section. Let's explain them.

• General

In this section you have the possibility to customize certain characteristics of your activity.

•             Maximum number of participants : This field allows the user to specify the maximum number of participants that can register for an activity. Setting the "Maximum number of participants" to 0 means that there will be no limit on the number of participants that can register for the activity.
•             Difficulty level : The difficulty level settings for activity participation allow the organizer to categorize the activity into different levels of complexity, making it easier to choose the appropriate activity based on the skill level of the participants. The four main levels are:
1.     All levels : This option indicates that the activity is suitable for participants of all skill levels, from beginners to experts.
2.     Beginner : This option is intended for activities designed for participants with little or no prior knowledge of the topic. These activities aim to provide a solid foundation for further participation.
3.     Intermediate : This option is intended for activities aimed at participants who have some knowledge of the topic, but wish to deepen their understanding. These activities assume that participants have a basic understanding of the topic and build on this knowledge.
4.     Expert : This option is intended for activities designed for participants with a high level of skill and knowledge in the subject. These activities assume a high level of understanding and are designed to challenge participants and help them further develop their skills.

•             Public activity : The "Public Activity" option is a setting that makes an activity accessible to everyone. This means that the activity can be viewed by anyone who has the link to the activity page, and there is no need to log in or have an account to view the content of the activity (this option is usually disabled).
•             Questions & Answers : This option allows organizers to enable a Questions and Answers section for the selected activity.

Choose the activity category

The “Choose Activity Category” option allows you to categorize your activity into specific preference groups. This makes it easier to organize and group similar activities, making it easier for participants to search and find activities that are relevant to their needs.

Set an activity thumbnail

The “Set Activity Thumbnail” section allows the activity organizer to add a main image or visual representation of the activity. This image will appear on activity listings, promotional materials, and other relevant pages. The purpose of the thumbnail is to make the activity more visually appealing and give potential participants an idea of what the activity is about. Please follow the instructions provided for best results.

Introductory video to the activity

The “Activity Intro Video” section allows you to add an intro video to your activity that will appear on the activity’s overview page. You can choose from multiple video sources, such as HTML5, external URL, YouTube, Vimeo, embed, or shortcode, to include the video in your activity.

Activity Builder

The “Activity Builder” is what allows the creation and organization of activity content.
It provides a visual interface to manage your activity content, including adding, editing, and organizing topics, instructions/lessons, and quizzes. You can also use this section to customize important activity details such as information, settings, and attachments.
This section allows the organizer to easily create the structure and content of an activity and make it accessible to participants.

The structure of an activity is composed of topics, and within each topic there are instructions/lessons, quizzes, and tasks. Although multiple lessons and quizzes can be incorporated into a single topic, it is recommended to have 2 to 5 lessons and one quiz per topic to achieve optimal results.

Add a new topic

The “Add New Topic” feature allows you to easily create and organize your activity content. Simply provide a name and a brief summary for each topic, and use the buttons provided to add lessons/instructions, tasks, and quizzes. The process is intuitive and guided by helpful tooltips, ensuring a smooth and streamlined experience.
