🎦 How to Connect Zoom in an Activity?

Zoom integration with Afterschool allows organizers to deliver live lessons and meetings to create a more interactive activity experience.

Create a Zoom account

To get started, you'll first need to create a Zoom account. Head over to the Zoom website and sign up for an account.

Create a Server-to-Server OAuth Application

After creating an account, you need to create an application that will connect Afterschool to Zoom.

Step 1. Go to the Zoom App Marketplace Developer Dashboard (https://marketplace.zoom.us/develop) and log in with your Zoom account.

Step 2. Scroll down to find “Server-to-Server”. Click “Create” under the Server-to-Server OAuth App type.

Step 3. Fill in the “Application Name” field and click “Create” (You may receive an error if you enter characters that are not acceptable).

This will take you to the app credentials page. But first, you need to fill in the Required Information and Scopes to activate your app.

Step 4: Go to “Information” to set your Company Name and Developer Contact Information, which is your name and email address.

Step 5. Go to “Scopes” and configure the necessary scopes of your application according to your needs. We recommend selecting all scopes for Meetings, Webinars, Recordings, and Users (Meeting, Webinar, Recording, & User. ).

Step 6: Go to “Activation” and activate your app.

Get Application Credentials

Once your Server-to-Server OAuth application is activated, go to the “Application Credentials” to get the Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret. Keep these credentials handy, as you will need them in the next step.

Connect Zoom to Afterschool

Finally, the last step is to connect Zoom to Parascolaire. To do this, go to Dashboard > Zoom > Meeting API Key. Add the new Server-to-Server OAuth application credentials (Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret Key) obtained in the previous step.
Click “Save and Verify Connection” to update the integration settings.

Test and Verify

Thoroughly test your Afterschool integration with Zoom using the credentials. Check if integration features, such as creating meetings, work as expected.
