Templates Overview #
Once you go through the templates creation process, you will be welcomed by a section prompting you to choose from an existing pre-built certificate template or start from scratch. You can also choose from categories ranging from the list below, followed by the image.

The best part of the pre-built templates is that they are all fully customizable. Meaning they have been made with the same elements and shapes that you can use to build your certificate from scratch.
Elements #
Parascolaire Certificate Builder comes with a wide range of pre-built Elements designed to give your certificate the basic requirements it needs. From text elements to add texts to your certificates, to adding activity and participant-related information, everything can be added through the Elements section.
Available Elements #
Below is a list of Parascolaire Certificate Builder Elements that you can find once you are in editor mode:
- Text: A text element for writing down everything you want. You can change the font, weight, and more.
- Activity: Add an activity element that will dynamically pull in the activity name for which the certificate is issued. No manual input needed.
- Participant Name: Add the participant’s name dynamically to your certificate, similar to the activity element.
- Organizer: Add the organizer’s name to your certificate without manual entry each time.
- Signature: Upload an image and add it as a signature.
- Verification ID: Provide an option for participants to authenticate that their achieved certificate is genuine.
- Point: Show the points received for the activity in the certificate. Requires the Gradebook addon to be enabled.
- Grade: Display the activity grade in the certificate. Requires the Gradebook addon to be enabled.
- QR: Add a QR code directly in the certificate that anyone can scan to be redirected to the certificate URL.
- Time: Use this element to display the certificate generation time.
- Duration: Display the activity duration in the certificate.
Media #
Parascolaire Certificate Builder uses the default WordPress media manager to handle all the images you need to add to your certificates. You will find a familiar media management interface when managing your images for the certificate-building process.
Media Options #
There are two kinds of media files you can choose from:
- Uploaded Images: Upload your own images using the media manager from a local source.
- Unsplash Images: Use the Unsplash image selection feature without logging in. Click on the Unsplash tab to view a list of images, and search for your desired image using relevant keywords.
Library #
In the Library section, you will find illustrations, badges, frame designs, border designs, watermarks, and more to customize your Parascolaire Certificates to the fullest.

All elements are fully customizable with color palette options, duplicate options, lock options, etc., available through inline editing.
Backdrops #
In the Backdrops tab, you can customize colors with preset color palettes, add backgrounds by choosing from various images, and apply patterns.
The background of the certificate is what will catch the viewer’s attention first. That’s why it’s made easier to customize the backdrop.
Backdrop Options #
- Colors: Choose from a wide range of colors for your certificate background and apply it directly to see the result.
- Pattern: Apply from a set of predefined patterns to set for your certificate.
- Background: Select from a number of pre-designed backgrounds catering to a wide range of certificate types.
With the Parascolaire Certificate Builder, adding backdrops is easier than ever. You can customize the colors of your certificate background, select specific patterns, or completely change the background from a premade background list.
Layers #
Professional design tools use layers to keep everything in check. Parascolaire Certificate Builder includes layer options as a core feature, allowing you to customize everything at any stage.
For example, if you need to customize an element beneath another, you can easily select the layer containing that element and adjust it accordingly. You can lock or unlock a specific layer to avoid accidental customization.
Publish The Certificate #
Once you have completed the certificate design, hit the Publish button located at the top of the screen.
Assign The Certificate to an Activity #
To assign the published certificate template to an activity, go to the front-end editor of the activity to which you want to add the certificate. Scroll down to the Certificate Template section, and you’ll see all the available certificate templates.
Select the certificate that you have just published, and hit Publish Activity.
Now, when a participant successfully completes the activity, the “Get Certificate” button will appear on the activity home page. Upon clicking the button, the participant will be able to see the certificate preview. This certificate is available for download in both JPG and PDF formats. Additionally, you can also choose to print it in A4 size or share it on social media platforms like Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.
