European Solidarity Corps: Cross-Border Volunteering ♻️ For Young Moroccans 🌍

An Inspiring and Enriching Experience 🔋

Are you between 18 and 30 years old, residing in Morocco and looking for an opportunity to help the wider community, in Europe and beyond?
You could do this with funding and support from the European Solidarity Corps, which helps young people take part in projects that benefit communities, whether abroad or in their own country.
These projects offer an inspiring and enriching experience, as well as the opportunity to make changes while developing your skills.

Cross-Border Volunteering 🌍

The majority of the opportunities offered by the European Solidarity Corps are cross-cultural volunteering missions. These initiatives are a unique opportunity to make your contribution where it is needed, to acquire new skills, to explore new horizons abroad, and maybe even to learn a new language. You will certainly return home with unforgettable memories. With the diversity of the themes addressed by these projects, ranging from the environment to health, inclusion, digital technologies, culture and sport, there is something for all interests and backgrounds.

Choice 1: Individual Volunteering ✋

If you want to get involved without making a long-term commitment, team volunteering could be the solution:
The duration of this experience varies from 2 weeks to 2 months
You will also work full time (between 30 and 38 hours per week)
You will be part of a team made up of participants from at least 2 different countries
The group will bring together between 10 and 40 volunteers, some of whom may have fewer opportunities
This adventure usually takes place abroad, although missions in your home country are possible.

Choice 2: Team Volunteering 🤝

If you want to get involved without making a long-term commitment, team volunteering could be the solution:
The duration of this experience varies from 2 weeks to 2 months
You will also work full time (between 30 and 38 hours per week)
You will be part of a team made up of participants from at least 2 different countries
The group will bring together between 10 and 40 volunteers, some of whom may have fewer opportunities
This adventure usually takes place abroad, although missions in your home country are possible.

Support and Reception Organizations 🏢

If you choose individual volunteering, two organizations will play a crucial role:
The supporting organization, based in your home country, will help you prepare for your experience abroad (formerly called the “sending organization”)
The host organization will accompany you to the country where you will carry out your mission. You can identify a potential support organization by consulting the database of accredited and quality organizations.
It is important to note that if you are participating in a team volunteer mission, you will not need a support organization.

What is Covered by the Program 💸

You will benefit from additional insurance
You will have access to various support services, such as language support and training
Your essential costs will be covered (travel to and from the project, accommodation and meals)
You will also receive a small allowance for your personal expenses (between €3 and €6 per day, depending on the country)
If you have special needs, such as a disability, these costs may also be covered.

Please note that this coverage applies to volunteers participating in the activities of the European Solidarity Corps. If you are selected by an organisation through the Corps portal, funded by one of the 8 funding programmes of the first phase, the rules and procedures of this programme will be applicable to your mission, and some of the services mentioned above may not apply. Please consult the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to learn more about the additional funding programmes supporting the European Solidarity Corps.
