💧 How to Control Access to the Content of an Activity?
The Drip feature allows organizers to distribute lessons, quizzes, and tasks based on their selected criteria from the Afterschool Activity Builder.
One of the most important benefits of this feature is the ability to make an activity private 🔐 (More details in this tutorial).

Here you will need to check the Enable box to enable the Drip feature for this activity. Then select the Drip type of your choice. Let’s take a look at these options:
1. Programming of Activity Contents by Date
This option requires you to set a date for each lesson, quiz, and task. If you do not set a date for a lesson, it will appear immediately after the participant registers.

2. Content Available After X Days Following Registration
By enabling this option, a numeric field will be added to all content forms where you can set the number of days it takes to unlock it. The start date is the participant's registration date and will be counted from that moment on.

3. Activity Content Available Sequentially
This is the simplest setting. After enabling this option, you will not see any options inside lessons, quizzes or tasks. Because when one lesson is completed, the next one appears. This means that this option checks the completion status for the lesson, the attempt status for the quiz and the submission status for the tasks.
4. Unlocking Activity Content After Completing Prerequisites
After enabling this option, you will be able to see the list of pre-existing lessons and other content, and select the ones that are required. Without completing them, the lesson will not be accessible to the participant. You can set lessons, quizzes, and tasks as prerequisites.
If a participant attempts a quiz, he/she will be able to move on to the next lesson, the next quiz, or the next task. Successful completion of the quiz is not required.

💡 Trick : Of course, if you want to make passing a quiz mandatory to access the next content, that's also possible with this option. To learn how to do that, check out this documentation.
If a participant submits a task, he/she will be able to move on to the next step. The task does not need to be reviewed or graded.

-> Make My Activity Private 🔐
One of the most important benefits of the Content Drip feature is the ability to make an activity private, and potential participants can only join by providing a code created by the activity organizer. This is achieved by using the Required Completion feature for quizzes.

Step 1️⃣
First of all, activate the functionality Drip by Drip of Content by following the steps mentioned above. Then select Option number 3: Activity Content Available Sequentially. By choosing this option, access to the content is restricted beyond the first uncompleted item in the activity. In this case, the first item will be a quiz.

Step 2️⃣
The next step is to create a topic initial in the activity that will include the first quiz. This topic can be named something like “Validation of My Registration Code”. In case you have pre-existing topics, simply create your new topic and drag it (3 lines to the left) before the first existing topic. In your new initial topic, you can create a quiz with the same title than its parent subject.

Step 3️⃣
In this quiz you will add only one question of the type Short Answer, which will be something like: “Please enter the Validation Code provided by the Organizer”. You will also select the Response Required option. For more details on Quiz Creation, see the following documentation.

Step 4️⃣
In the part Settings of the quiz, you will select the option Retry Mode (to account for errors when entering the validation code). You must also select the option to Mandatory Success of the quiz.

Step 5️⃣
You can now save the quiz and start uploading content and scheduling meetings in your business without having to worry about outsiders accessing it without your permission!

Now, from your dashboard, you can accept ✅ or decline ❌ requests to participate in your activity and update it!
